With over 25 years of experience practicing accounting, Mushtaq Thobani brings an extensive list of necessary skills to the table at MMT & Associates, a full-service accounting practice. A resident of Calgary, Alberta, Canada, Mushtaq Thobani is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Alberta, an organization that provides guidance and leadership to more than 11,000 Chartered Accountants and students studying to become Chartered Accountants. Mushtaq Thobani began practicing in Calgary in 1982 with KLA, Chartered Accountants and founded the firm MMT & Associates in 1989, he received an achievement award for his 25 years of service as a Chartered Accountant. In addition to his dedication to his profession, Mushtaq Thobani is also passionate about helping people. Mushtaq Thobani is the Convenor of the Calgary World Partnership Golf Tournament, a fundraiser created by Canada's Aga Khan Foundation, a non-profit organization that promotes social development. By participating in the popular charitable event (more than 800 golfers and 200 corporate sponsors participate in the 7 different tournaments), Mushtaq Thobani is helping to raise funds and awareness about new international developments designed to help poverty-stricken communities in Africa and Asia. In his spare time, Mushtaq Thobani enjoys playing soccer and helps with the Calgary Southwest United soccer club Fish Creek Sports Soccer Association, a team for young people. Additionally, Mr. Thobani takes advantage of Canada's beautiful wilderness by skiing, fishing, and hiking. When he is not enjoying the outdoors, Mushtaq Thobani enjoys reading, and one of his particular favorite books is John Steinbeck's "Of Mice and Men." Mushtaq Thobani currently resides in Calgary.
